Best way to Teeze the Tangles - Tangle Teezer

I still remember the days I use to scream when my mum use to comb my hair. This is a childhood memory I have with my hair. I always love to grow my hair long but never dare to do that coz my hair is fine wavy and get tangles very easy and we all know tangles = hairfall. I have this habit of searching  different hair tools specially hair brushes and buying them which i think it will be useful to tame down my hair.

Currently I'm using Vega paddle brush which is working pretty decently but I always had an eye on Tangle Teezer back when I was in India. Frankly I was hesitating to put so much money on a hair brush so always gave up on the thought but finally now I bought it!!

About The Product:

This sensational detangling hairbrush removes knots and tangles as soon as you start brushing, no need for painful pulling and unnecessary hair breakage. Tangle Teezer's genius designed teeth flex just the right amount to de-stress, detangle and smooth the hair's cuticle. Tangle Teezer is also hair extension and weave friendly, unlike ordinary brushes and combs which catch, tug and snag. Tangle Teezer effortlessly blends with existing hair creating a seamless and flawless finish.

Cost: $9.86

I was debating between The original and The Elite but went ahead with the original one that too with my current favourite color purple its called Plum Delicious. I like the name!!

It can be used on dry and wet hair but I never comb my hair when its wet so, cant really tell how it works on wet hair. Its the perfect comb for removing knots and makes my hair a bit straight and more manageable. One thing I should mention that when I used it for the first time my hair scalp was oily usually at this point of time I should have a bit more of falling but this magical comb has managed it so well without too much hair fall and also distributed the scalp oil to my entire hair and made it to shine thus reducing the greasyness of the scalp. Totally in love with this beauty and will continue to use it. The size is also perfect for combing and it fit so well in the hand which makes our job easy.

Pros:

  • As the product claims it removes knots and tangles easily avoiding pulling and unneccesary breakage.
  • Makes my wavy hair a bit straight.
  • Reduces hairfall even on the third day of hair wash. which is Yay Yay for me!!
  • Distributes the scalp natural oils equally to the entire hair.
  • Availability is not an issue
  • Easy to clean
  • Claims to be used on dry and wet hair.
  • Suitable for all hair types.
Cons:

  • Expensive but worth every penny.
  • Not travel friendly but other travel friendly compact size with lid are available
  • It gives a messy look so need other normal comb to get that neat hairstyles.
Over all I would give ***** and recommend it all hair types.

Spring/Summer Skin Care Routine

Heyloo.. thanks for stopping by to read this post regarding my Spring/Summer skin care regime. For every season there should be a separate skin care routine to take measures and have benefits from that particular season. Before starting let me give u a small intro about my skin which is super oily in summer and tends to get acne if proper care is not taken. Lets begin with the basic 6 steps..
  • Cleansing: For cleansing my face I use The body shop tea tree skin clearing facial wash and Himalaya purifying neem face wash with my newly purchased Clarisonic mia 2. These face washes helps to clear out my skin as it is acne prone. I use them when I dont wear make up and if I do I will use a make remover wipe to remove my makeup and then continue with them.

  • Scrub: Scrubs are such blessing for oily skin it removes all the dead skin with white heads and black heads caused by extra production of oil on face. Currently I am using The body shop seaweed pore cleansing facial exfoliator once in a week and home made scrub once in a week in total I scrub my face twice a week.

Home made scrub

  • Tonner: Skin Tonning helps in closing the pores and tightening the skin cells thus avoiding oil and other impurities to penetrate. The body shop tea tree skin clearing tonner is what im using currently.
  • Moisturiser: Since my skin is oily i try to use light one which moisturises and is not greasy. Using the biotique bio white.
  • Sunscreen : We all know the importance of sunscreen n my go to sunscreen is Neutrogena ultra sheer dry touch sunblock. It is very light and has spf 50+.
  • Night Creme: My search for good night creme will be never ending one but for now using relaxing massage oil from kronokare.
lastly heel the chapped lips with a good lip balm.

This completes my Spring/Summer skin care routine. I know it is quite simple with less products, but this is the way i like it to keep it simple so that i use it everyday!!

C Yu!! with another post bye!!!

Chicken Tikka (How to make perfect Tikkas)

Chicken Tikka is a popular starter dish in India and Pakistan. There are many different Tikka recipes specially for Vegetarians like Paneer Tikka, Mushroom Tikka, Aloo Tikka etc..Tikka means Pieces and it is typically prepared in a Tandoor, but Today I am going to share a Non Veg Tikka and its none other than the Famous Chicken Tikka cooked with yogurt and some spices and skewed in the oven.. So lets get start with it..

SERVES: 2

INGREDIENTS:

Boneless Chicken Pieces - 1/4 Kg
Hung Yogurt - 1/2 cup
Tandoori Masala Powder - 2 Tea Spoons
Red Chilli Powder - 2 Tea spoons
Salt - To Taste
Oil - 1/2 Tea Spoon
Lime Juice - 1 Tea Spoon
Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 Tea Spoons
Kasuri Methi powder - 1/2 Tea Spoon
Corriander Powder - 1Tea Spoon
Butter - 1/2 Tea Spoon
Capsicum Cubes- 1/2 Cup
Tomato Cubes - 1/2 Cup
Onion Cubes- 1/2 Cup
Wooden Skewers - 4
Food Color - 2 Pinches (optional) (I didn't use)

PREPARATION METHOD:

  • Take washed chicken pieces (prefer Chicken Thigh pieces) and pat dry it with a paper towel to remove any moisture from it.

  • Marinate chicken with ginger garlic paste, red chilly powder, salt and lime juice for half an hour.

  • After half an hour, add yogurt, tandoori masala powder( if tandoori powder is not there it can be substituted with garam masala), kasuri methi powder, corriander powder, oil, capsicum cubes, onion cubes, tomato cubes and food color to the chicken. Mix it well and marinate it for 2 hours(can be marinated for over night also). Put this in the Fridge.

  • Soak Skewers for 20 mintues in the water to avoid burning it while grilling.
  • Remove chicken from fridge and bring it to room temperature before use.
  • Spray cooking oil or butter on the baking tray.
  • Now start skewing the chicken and remaining vegetables. There is no particular order to skew it, it depends on our taste.

  • Pre heat the oven to 500 Fahrenheit (260 celsius) and apply some butter on top of the chicken. Put the tray in the oven and start grilling it.
  • After 15 minutes turn the skewers to other side brush it again with some butter and place it back in the oven for 10-15 more minutes.
  • Chikken Tikka is ready after 25-30 minutes of grilling!!
  • Serve it hot with green chutney and onions!!
