Veg Chow Mein Noodles

Chow Mein Noodles are Chinese Noodles stir fried in oil with sauces and veggies and meat. There are two variations in chow mein Steamed Chow mein and crispy Chow mein. Today lets see how to make soft version which can be taken as breakfast or evening snack especially for kids who does not like veggies to eat such recipes are great to make them eat healthy fun food.



Ingredients :
  • Chow Mein Noodles - 4 Small Blocks
  • Onions Chopped - 1 small
  • CarrotsChopped - 1/2 Cup
  • Capsicum Chopped - 1/2 Cup
  • Cabbage Chopped - 1/4 Cup
  • Spring Onions Chopped - 1/4 Cup 
  • Garlic Crushed - 4-5 Big Cloves
  • Cooking Oil - 5 Tea Spoons
  • Soy Sauce - 1 Table Spoon
  • Vinegar - 1/2 Table Spoon
  • Tomato Sauce - 1 Table Spoon
  • Chilli Sauce - 3/4 Table Spoon
  • Black Pepper Powder - 1/2 Table Spoon
  • Salt - To Taste
  • Water - As Required
Procedure :
  • Take a big bowl of water add 1tea spoon oil and salt and heat it on medium - high flame 
  • Once it is rolling boiling add noodles to it
  • Cook the noodles till it is slightly cooked or till aldante (one bite)
  • Add the noodles to cold water to stop the cooking prodecure 
  • Now strain the noodles and add oil and soy sauce to it
  • Keep noodles a side Lets start to prepare sauce
  • Take a clean bowl and add soy sauce, vinegar, tomato sauce, chilli sauce, salt and black pepper powder. Mix everything properly (adjust each ingredient according to your taste)
  • Take a non stick pan add oil let it get heated on medium flame then add onions garlic and all remaing veggies
  • Cook it for 3-4 minutes
  • Now add noodles and sauce mixture to it and mix everything carefully without breaking noodles.
  • Garnish with some spring onions and tomato sauce and serve it!!
