Simple Peanut Chutney ( Palli Chutney )


Peanut Chutney is a must for our family let it be for dosa's or idlis, this is the simple chutney version of my Mother in law which we regularly make at home. When you are in a hurry and wanted to make some simple chutney then this is definetly for you. All u need are very simple and less ingredients.

SERVES : 2,  PREPARATION TIME : 10 MINS

INGREDIENTS LIST:

  • 1/2 cup Raw Peanuts or Palli
  • 1 Big Garlic Clove
  • 3 Very Small Green Chillies
  • 1 Table Spoon Tamarind (or desired quantity)
  • Salt to taste
  • 3/4 Cup Water
  • 2 drops of oil
For Tadka or Tempering:
  • 1 Tea Spoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Tea Spoon Mustard Seeds
  • 1 Big Red Chilli
  • 1/4 Tea Spoon Turmeric
  • 1 table spoon oil



Preparation Method:

  • Soak Tamarind in 1/4 cup of water.
  • Take a pan switch on the flame to medium, when its hot add peanuts fry them a bit and add two drops of oil.

  • Now add garlic clove and green chillies stir fry them till peanuts turn light golden inside.

  •  Allow the mixture to cool down.
  • Put this mixture in blender along with soaked tamarind and salt. Slowly keep adding water in the middle to make it a smooth fine paste.



  • Now its tadka time, take the same pan add oil, let it get hot then add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, red chilli and lastly turmeric. 
  • Add tadka to your chutney and your yummy peanut chutney is ready!!
